Thanks Lowtide. I shall ferret around.
Other point to note is that if the new company gets ALL the remaining permits applied for, will be very interesting. No pesky neighbors to deal with...
Hi Popples, I think Shell was the client. Unless you know someone there... don't know what is in the public domain given the length of time, equivalent in the NT to South Australia's https://www.energymining.sa.gov.au is https://nt.gov.au/industry/mining-and-petroleum/mineral-and-energy-resources
My own personal reading on the NT is that they have not yet come up with another Cooper Basin. Onshore at MacArthur River is definitely not without merit, think the rational about spinning off this as a seperate company is good. Brings in new investors that may not have necessarily bought into AJQ
Hi Lowtide
Did anyone write a book on the expedition &/or take photos or is there a web site to view?
I like reading up on such adventures.
Thanks
A liitle throw away comment regarding new NT company, McArthur Oil & Gas Ltd. (MOGL). I was on the marine seismic boat that did the entire Gulf of Carpentaria seismic survey in 1980, which included the shallow waters around Sir Edward Pellew Group ( islands ), immediately offshore from their permits. The Gulf of Carpentaria is one of the MOST featureless seismic/geological areas for oil/gas structures I have had the "pleasure" of 4 months of surveying...better luck onshore, stuctures may look better.
Oilex have just over 1% of Armour, so they may get a little bit of cash if they don't sell them first.
Macca
Think of it like a lucky dip on the lottery instead of one you now have three lines .

So Oilex with get a big pay out plus 1/3 of the shares in the new company?
#oex oilex will pick up shares in the new company due to its existing holding in Armour energy.
The proposal involves establishing a new wholly-owned subsidiary, McArthur Oil & Gas Ltd. (MOGL), to hold the northern basin oil and gas assets and operations, demerging from Armour through an in-specie share distribution to existing shareholders.
