@pawnking, if you are in then I guess itâs not an issue as we are all in for almost the same reasons. I thought you said you were not in, sorry. My average is 46p so if it goes to below that then I will average down. I doubt it will though, even if HMG takes that sweet a** time about things!! :)
@Harry. True, averaging down works as long as you want to get deeper into a share. The challenge is I have enough exposure on ODX currently so not sure I want to get deeper. Timing the market is fraught with risk, I agree but its downside protection being offset against missing profit . I'll see what pans out over the next 6 weeks and review then.
@pawnking Inmo you shouldnât try and time the market, someone much smarter than me said that and itâs true. what if news hits and youâre not in ODX at that point then thatâs potential profits youâve wasted by being out. Better to be in and average down if we do drop in sp, I case news hits then all good, than being out and trying to time things - that method wonât end well. News is imminent, we all know this.
@Harry. I just think there will be a significant SP correction at some point if we dont get news. We were at 10p in April then an upward SP movement on news, equally in July at 36p on news... no news, and SP will drift. I get all the other great things we are doing but they will take time and just musing on whether I can rebuy in at a cheaper price.
Why end of September when as an investor you will of course know that there is more news due outside of Covid related products. HIV and food intolerance. I think you should consider increasing your timeline a bit, well that is what I am doing, I am waiting until Q1 2021. ODX has a long way to go yet and we still donât know its full potential...all of us might be way off the mark when it comes to predictions about how well this company will fare. Come January next year so many Things will be in place, orders rolled out, Elisa, Mologic updates etc etc. The list of news due will keep me happy for a good few months at the very least
@Harry. Agreed there will need to a requirement for testing alongside an vaccine programme, but the statement of the bleeding obvious is that the longer this goes on without any contractual arrangements, the riskier ODX becomes. Personally, I'll give them to the end of September and then review whether I hold any longer.
Of course, a second wave would do wonders for us as a company.... although economically devastating for us all more widely
Spending more money on something that is not proven, making more mistakes and putting hope in something that is not validated or confirmed yet. The government are hedging their bets and are buying around 340 million vaccines and donât even know if any of them will pass safety and effectiveness. If any of these trials succeed the delivery will be well into 2021 anyway, so thousands of testing will need to be done beforehand, thatâs where we come in of course
