CK, I was personally delighted that the Thai assets were discarded. Graft in Thailand is endemic and once you get involved with the politics of business there you are trapped! I have had a personal experience and I would be very reluctant to do business there again. Too many paws to grease!
Maybe A Blessing It Didn’t Come Off ! Especially As Our Bods Binned The Thai Assets Soon After !
Come on CK. That was nearly three years ago and was opportunistic. If it had come off then great. It did not and MTR moved on.
How Much Was Spent On The Kingsgate Fiasco ?
Spot on Hydrogen. Spot on.
1 to 1. I really cannot understand some of your sentence construction. If you have a problem with share sell it or get in touch with MMc to air your grievances. He is very open to discuss matters with shareholders. You seem to be very wound up. McNeilly did not oust Paul Johnson. Paul resigned as CEO and Borelli took over. Borelli ****ed things up by trying to get BMR to purchase MTR using a discounted all share purchase. Paul then stepped in brokered a new Board. MMc was the anointed appointee sponsored by Paul. You may recall Paul re joined the Board for 2 to 3 months to assist MMc. I suggest you get your facts right.

1 to 1. Terry Grammar brokered the deal with Julian Hanna of MOD not Paul Johnson. TG and JH go way back. He tied up the deal. Subtle difference. I guess you will have to wait until the AGM to cast your vote against MMc unless you can muster up enough shares to force an EGM.
1to1, would you define what you mean by progressive. I'm sure it is MM's intention to "progress" the company and enhance the SP and MTR's strategy at the moment is quite clear with a mix of major commitments to build long term value and "tactical" investments to generate cash flow. Do you want that changed-if you do, to what- or are you happy with the strategy and just want a new man to make it work better? We'd all like the SP to be £1 by Easter but what is a new man going to do different to achieve that?
1to1 you are entitled to your opinion but I totally disagree with you. MTR has come a long way from the Paul Johnson / Borelli days. MMc can take a lot of the credit. He negotiated the 2%NSR over MOD/SFR and the KML transaction and resulting NSR. These are long term value investments. The ISDA using SFR shares as collateral was another of his wins which reduced the need for placements.
Hello DP. I think the cause of our problem as shareholders is that nothing seems to shift the SP. We can talk all we want about the ASX listing, the prospects for Cobre/KML , the royalties from T3/A4 or the potential in the equity portfolio all against a backdrop of rising copper prices which is a potentially huge plus for all of these investments, but the fact is in the here and now investors seem unwilling to invest in MTR's potential, presumably because there have been too many false dawns in the past. Current shareholders are presumably prepared to wait for the potential to materialise, if only from fear of missing out if they sell, so the SP stagnates with few buying or selling in any significant amounts. However at some point some if not all of the potential will become real and the SP will just have to rise. When the T3 mine is up and running, when Sandfire report more brilliant assay results from A4 (and anywhere else they care to drill) and expand the mine, when Cobre/KML join in the party with their own drill campaign results, then buyers will emerge and we'll all be happy bunnies. Just might not be this Easter!
Just waiting for warrants to expire (in the next few days) & ASX listing in the next week or 2. Not a lot to discuss apart for what's already know - undervalued. Sure I remember reading something that Sprott have a reputation for flipping warrants as v focused on long term proce so dont mind short term suppression. Yesterdays warrant conversion is positive IMO as it supports the theory that these are partially likely suppressing the price.
Seems no one is interested, not even the usual posters. Still the most un-loved share on aim.
