I believe Shorters will utilise every given opportunity to close their positions during this week, remaining short here now makes absolutely zero sense and can be extremely costly going forward in my opinion.
At least there's one consolation with the recent kitchen sinking....if the SP now rallies there's no danger of getting a speeding ticket RNS lol
I second that.
HUR SP rally has not even started, so much upside potential here with absolute minimal downside risks since the very brutal bod kitchen sinking of HUR, DYOR.
The recent kitchen sinking here was extremely unusual/overdone which IMO now provides the floor for subsequent massive positives on HUR reserves prospects, production enhancements, new management initiatives including cost management plus operational efficiencies and needless to say, potential for improving POO and resulting HUR SP huge upward rallies going forward from the current very low base.
Interesting article, noteworthy points within (IMO) highlighted here below in case of interest:
"Brutal as the update and its reception was, it has at least wiped the slate clean for new CEO Antony Maris, appointed earlier this summer. Mr Maris, a fractured basement reservoir fields veteran, was previously Chief Operating Officer at Pharos Energy (PHAR.L)"
"For Hurricane the winds are even harsher for most oil and gas operators. But with the company’s shares now at basement levels, it may be worth looking at should talk of a takeover come to something…"
The bloke who owns TLS David Burton (also from the Telegraph) was Tweeting a week or two about how HUR was a write-off. I can't trust anybody these days as they seem to change their position faster than spreadbetters.
“Hurricane is now arguably a takeover prospect for companies prepared to fund the rebuilding process. Founder Robert Trice said in an interview with the Financial Times back in 2017 that selling stakes to larger partners was always an option, and that global majors had expressed interest”
