My spidey sense is telling me OldT that you'd have left the building long before this reaches 2p let alone 5p-10p ;)
I'm hoping one day it just gets to 2p
Just in case you missed Retail Gazette, SamKK, here's the article link again
https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2020/02/emma-mattress-annual-sales-skyrockets-86/
I'd have to ask Emma, or perhaps Retail Gazette (maybe Retail Gazette checked before publishing?) though it was noted that a figure was absent in the article. However, I'm guessing that Emma are a private company and don't have to publish figures publicly or tell me. Really not sure though.
However, you must have access to better info as you claimed on Friday that they are loss making. Would you tell me what the loss is at Emma? You must know and I'd be interested.
so Geeman what was EMMAs NET profit?
EMMA's made a profit two years running.
'Emma Mattress has completed its second financial year of profitability in 2019 with a record €150 million (£125 million) in sales, up 86 per cent year-on-year.'
"building a profitable business in this space is not inconceivable or impractical, it simply takes dedication to the industry." – EMMA
ALL LOSING MONEY - REVIEWS ARE IRRELEVANT
1) Emma
2) Eve
3) Casper
4) Simba
5) Leesa
Eve in 2nd place out of five is very good news on an otherwise 'bleak-news' day!
Only 30 reviews for Leesa..
Adding to D-Geeman post on Trust Pilot Review Comparison since 1st Jan 2020:
1) Emma have 53 pages = 1,060 Reviews,
2) Eve have 24.5 pages = 490 reviews,
3) Casper 20.5pages = 410 Reviews,
4) Simba = 18 pages = 360 Reviews,
5) Leesa 1.5 pages = 30 Reviews,
Interesting.... infer what you may.. but it does Eve does look like it's taking a bit more market share from competitors this quarter.
Thanks for counting TP reviews of Eve and Emma, SINCE 1/1/20. Interesting insight. I wonder how this compares with Simba, Leesea and Casper?
Dunno about the cleaner angle. Pretending to be Sheikh Cashoggi might be more fun.
Nice line: 'but building a profitable business in this space is not inconceivable or impractical, it simply takes dedication to the industry.'
Ok, I just spent a while counting TP reviews of Eve and Emma, SINCE 1/1/20. Eve have 24.5 pages (20 per page) and Emma have 53 pages of TP reviews. So Eve is seemingly catching up compared to a year ago: Eve have 46% the number of reviews compared to Emma.
Now, and this is only 3 hours ago apparently, and I only found it because of this Trustpilot thread – an article on Emma's fortunes. (It doesn't mention amount of profit, only sales increase and 'second year of profitability' )
// Emma Mattress books record £125m in full year sales in 2019
// This equates to an 86% surge on the previous year
Emma Mattress has completed its second financial year of profitability in 2019 with a record €150 million (£125 million) in sales, up 86 per cent year-on-year.

Better still apply for work at EVE, low key like a cleaner, take surreptitious recordings of observations and production line activity then report back with findings. CODENAME: SLEEPING CONDOR.
Another route might be to ingratiate yourself with area managers at Dunelm and the other retailers to see how things are looking. Buy a dish dash and a briefcase with Monopoly money and tell them you're looking for mattresses for the harem wing of your new summer palace on the French Riviera.
A year ago and somewhat more recently, for extended periods, TP received fewer than 3 reviews a day on Eve products. Emma used to receive infinitely more and people said Emma was doing well. You might have missed these observations. Now, Eve is getting many, many more reviews each day. That, combined with recent guidance from Eve makes people – me for one – consider the possibility that Eve products are selling better than they used to do. That link doesn't seem too outrageous to me though I admit it could still be misplaced; if I were absolutely convinced I'd remortgage the house and buy 1,000,000s of Eve shares at 1.22p right now.
Even if I'm wrong I believe 'pure speculation' is stock-in-trade on this BB ;-)
Finding it funny how people are constantly linking Trust Pilot reviews to company performance. In no way are the two related!
How do you know how many Trust Pilot forms have been sent out and what percentage of the total number of forms sent out have been completed?
Trying to link average reviews per day to number of sales is complete nonsense!
The only way you'll know how the company is performing at present is by waiting for the results at the end of March. Anything else is pure speculation!
