And maybe with ‘Out Of Stock’ EVE may even have sold enough (and with the cost cutting measures now a way of working) to get into profit for the very 1st time ever!
Wontogo I don't think your accounting is correct. unsold inventory will be recorded on the BS at year end. mattress costs hit the p&l when sold.
correction - should read ‘recent updates’
I doubt EVE intentionally reduced stock levels, in fact on one of the recent dates the spending that lowered cash at the bank was exactly because they had bought extra stock to allow for the perceived shortage due to material shortages. So if they have sold out not only of the normal stock levels but also extra stock levels sales must be reasonably good I.e. better than expected.
Again I was just suggesting a more positive spin for potential purchasers and not just a simple ‘Out Of Stock’ message stamped on the EVE website. But maybe an explanation stating more supplies available ASAP and maybe allow orders to be taken for the next batch of premium mattresses!
Reducing your stock levels to boost your profit and loss accounts is terrible business sense. You lose potential customers but makes the company appear more profitable.
How can there be so many shares still available?
I bought 14466 two days ago at 3.04p.
Getting at 2.99 seems good value. Maybe another director buy at these prices?
14:26:57 2.99 500,000 Buy* 2.90 3.00 14.95k
Anyone here?!
There was a case of some 'ring fencing' for a promo a while ago. Then 'whatever-it-was' came back into stock. With Black Friday around the corner I'd hope that stocks of everything are huge..
.... maybe EVE should adjust the wording of ‘ Out Of Stock’ to something more positive such as ‘Our Mattresses are so good they are presently all sold but we will have more soon so please be patient’ etc etc
Just stating ‘Out of Stock’ does not give potential purchasers much to go on? Will they have more? Is that them all gone?
What about the possibility to reserve one as soon as it becomes available etc etc - Positivity could be a better way?
Any opinions?
Just noticed The Premium Mattress listed as out of stock!
Is this good or bad policy?
Stick control is a essential part of any business. Running stock and of course rotation ongoing stock supplies essential but to actually run out?
Yes may indicate more sales than expected but alas no stock means no sale either? Tricky!
