If you think about it, when CINE went to 22 p (as low as 18 p actually on intra day), it was when the entire market was at the peak of a massive sell off and investors were in a state of shear panic. It was at that incredible level for one day only and more than doubled in value the following day.
I don’t think it’s likely to revisit that low unless there is some very big news such as further delays to US cinema reopening or worse still cinemas asked to close again after having already reopened. Given that cases are now coming down in the US and we are seeing a steady stream of positive vaccine news, I think it’s more likely the next significant move will be upwards as opposed to downwards.
Agree with that analysis @ Moola.
This tested 34p when the shorters dumped large blocks of shared and and we have since seen small rises and drops but resistence is there.
Those seeking 20s, whilst I understand the need to find a bargain need to appreciate that funding had a big black hole in it which has since been plugged and re-opening wasn't even established.
Granted, Cineworld has 73% of it's estate in the US, the fact that international cinema has re-opened and a giant like IMAX is pledging to open 90% of it's screens in line with AMC and Regal in the US for August tells you that their re-open is going ahead.
I fully expect more movies to be bought forward such as Mulan and even Top Gun 2. Studios are waiting for the canary that is Tenet to be the first big blockbuster, after this, all the ducks will start lining up and we can expect to see the market price Cineworld accordingly.
I feel shorters are predatory by nature and pick the weakest prey - CINE only has positives in its future (unpredictable second/ local lockdowns aside) and is already at a low. I imagine it will attract riskier players but as a whole there are better options for shorting imo
IMO I would have thought that when the shorters did all they could to tank the sp and drove it down to 35p when the delays were announced that would have been their opportunity. They did sink the sp but found too much resistance at 35p and couldn't break through it despite a heavy attack. I can't see they have a better opportunity on the horizon.
I am Fully behind cine but honestly do people think the shorters/market will take this down to the 52wk low before the increase?
We have a few weeks left before the USA open and ally of shorts open..., all Corrupt I know but what’s people opinions both sides?
