Did he reply "yeah, so do we" ? ;-) ;-)
Plus , they're average spend per head, is considerably higher than ours...( can't say much more than that ).
I had them over in Spain for three weeks , a few years ago, they brought 5 other friends of theirs ...
They couldn't understand why the Spanish food portions were so small...:-))
He asked me what these things were in mercadonna ( supermarket )
I said baby new potatoes.
He said " in the U.S. we grow them this big ( hands held out like hes holding a water melon ).
I said " over here , we grow them to fit our mouths" :-))))))))
"Oh, and Elvis is seen regularly"
Any confirmed sightings of him riding shergar?
Good to hear mountainous , i too have connections over there , in las Vegas.
My cousin and hubby live there . They have quite a few within a 10 mile radius .
He ( the hubby ) sees it getting busier and busier by the month , as ( believe it or not ) has a refuge collection company, emptying garbage /trash cans ( see what i did there) also steam cleaning them as that's required by law in the food and entertainments sector .
Oh, and Elvis is seen regularly
Good evening all, hope everyone is well.
I have a friend in the US (Texas) who also goes to the cinema quite often, so I decided to ask him how the cinemas over there are doing so we can hear first hand how things are going.
He explained that the recovery is going well. To be completely honest and transparent, he did say that the attendance isn’t completely to pre-pandemic levels yet and that the cinemas are not always filling up as we are seeing in the UK, however he said that when big movies come out there is always a surge in demand and that it does get busy.
He also mentioned that Regal is quite popular and is just like AMC in terms of popularity, which is a nice sign to see us on par with our competitors.
All in all, his words have further strengthened my confidence that we are on the right path :)
Also went to see Dune at around 5:30pm today. The foyer itself was quiet, however there were about 15-20 of us watching in 4DX which was nice for a Thursday afternoon.
