Just back from this afternoons trip to the shops. It definitely has a Christmas feel now once it gets dark and the lights are on. So much so I even purchased more Christmas cards. Being a bloke we dont have the shes wearing the same dress as me issues. In fact we congratulate each other on having the same tastes, note I said same not necessarily good taste. Its a tad warmer south of the wall, I was out in shorts and a tee shirt yesterday and even my oakleys got an outing!. The winter quilt was swapped back after 2 nights use and swapped again a couple of days ago to the summer version. Maybe it time for debs to start selling their new summer range down this way instead. Didnt they have sales issues last year when it snowed? Might convince Mr Sharp, for debs to start selling "free the langyy one" tee shirts (or coats up your way) Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. Laters
The only retail therapy I need
is in a small town like yesterday. Real Stornoway black pudding, steak pie, pork and apple wheels, beef and tomato wheels and home made meatballs, black bun in a real baker's shop and fruit you can taste from the greengrocers - none of that bland stuff your Tesco sells as food. Prize for best decorations went to the ice cream parlour Caldwell - and it was so cold there were a couple of pensioners eating cones. No ladies outfitters unfortunately for something a bit less M & S 100 women at the party will also be wearing kind of thing but at least if you have a Rocha from debs you can be sure that those wearing it will be wearing it well and not be looking like a sack of potatoes. That George at Asda guy has much to answer for if you ask me God Bless you langyy have a good Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z36QbJ7rRl8
RE: Gerry AGM and Steps
Langy has not upset me and Im not sure what he has done so why not invite him back Getting out to the shops is not my thing, maybe you and Mrs G would be better off together. I suspect you quite enjoy retail therapy. I go along now and again to share but for me, as a bloke, its more of a, I know what I want and as long as it fit its done. 20 min tops Where as you ladies can spend hours looking for an item and then wonder why we look bored when we go back to the first shop. I just think we like different things and Mrs G thinks my some of my shops are boring. Maybe debs could deliver by octocopter drones, I might order something just for the fun of watching it arrive. Which reminds me, my neighbor has just got his twin hang glider sorted so I might be out and about a tad more ducking and diving from all these drones. I suspect the restart of the share buy backs might start a bounce from here Steps?
No Gerry this morning
He must be out shopping again. I wonder where. Probably Tesco again for these mystery items. He might be one of these secret shoppers who do the reviews with Mrs. Gerry's help of course. Whoops I think I said were for where last night. Can I provide the live price on here or would I go the same way as langyy.
Gerry AGM and Steps
Resolution to purchase more shares was passed - all resolutions passed. Oh I never open up any mail or parcels not addressed to me. Not since elderly granny babysitter next door said she had a parcel for me and I had ripped the packaging off before I realised it was a printer for another house. Street numbering and nameplates on doors not what they used to be. Need wood doors not pvc and there's usually more than one name on the few nameplates you do see. Gerry I'm loyal to nobody. I shop in Sainsburys more than the other supermarkets purely because it's nearest to me but I do the big shops in one of the cheap ones that doesn't mean I want to buy shares in the companies well not unless it looks like a takeover might finally be on the cards for Sainsburys. I have a lot of insurance for different things too but I don't think any of my current providers are in my portfolio. I just go were mony directs. Anyhow good to hear that you do get out and about to the shops after all as I was starting to think that you didn't get out much. steps not around much myself these days to monitor stuff. Hope you enjoyed your travels. Quite a campaign going on to get langyy back.
Morning QueenElvis, Free delivery is no good if your trying to keep small secrets! The click and collect worked as I can do that during a visit anyway. In fact even with delivery it would have worked out cheaper. Although I think I must have got my timing right (for once) as it is now gone up again. Look I mentioned Debs in relation to a competitor. I think my buying their will have an offset on the SP on debs of 0.0000000000000001% (will that cover me for the bb police?). I assume there must have been a bit more to it. Most of my posts are probably irrelevant musings and feelings on issues, you can only post so much fact and your opinion or interpretation on that. I like to see opinions, both, for and against any shares, as sometimes alternative views make you think that bit more. Are you not tempted to top up? After all you seem to use the product more than me.
