natural gas price up 10% since Friday. but SP seems to be tracking down like other oil stocks today. http://www.investing.com/commodities/natural-gas
This ain't normal on this company, must be a reason why and my gut feeling is some kind of good news
mid-day auction, very small UT trade 67.95p
Somethings afoot
Perhaps they are buying before news
That was destined for Genl. Better day here let's see a break of 75p next week still be played with by the Mafioso.
grsl: DNO operator of the Tawke field up 7.2% today, like us still awaiting payment news for April deliveries. Hawkey you have such a great posting style always informative and always takes the mickey out of yourself. Very refreshing I know one poster that could take a leaf out of your book :-)))) answers in a postcode please :-) Right price for next week I reckon will be: £1.43 Btfath1
69p offer price. really pleased to see it moving in the right direction. 70p can wait till Monday :D. rig count out after close so POO will either rise or fall.
lots of buys coming in now. once we get above 70p again i think it will fly and pause for a breather around 75p. happy if we close at or above 70p today.
Is the greatest virtue, also a necessity around here.
the market mafioso have dropped it from near 70p to 68p with very few shares traded. very frustrating. all other oil stocks up. MMs are fishing for shares IMO.
Frustrating this has not moved more, even today with the surge with Brent it languishes, just got to be patient :-)
I didn't do so well with the tips when oil crashed - lot of the oil cos I liked are still well down on where they were (including this one as liked it at low 200s after theyd sold 20% of Tanzania). Although no one saw that coming, including brokers and the oil cos themselves! 2016 hasn't been bad, lot of the bigger cos I've fancied have done well so far. Always an outside chance of a bid or deal out of the blue as well here
has a great track record GN as a tipster
I can not understand how ophir share price keeps getting hammered, as i would have thought it was a blessing that our large assets are not producing yet. If we were producing the current break even is 40 dollars a barrel on eq so we would not be turning over large profits so its a good thing that our gas is still in the ground at current prices. Some of the other mid size oil producers will be in big trouble come 2017 when their current oil price hedging runs out. I would still rather be invested here with ophir's money in the bank rather then invested in some other debt laden oil producers. I think when oil price finally heads up to 80 dollars then this company could be a take over target but we need a lot of positive sentiment to return to oil before take overs start happening.
Good man Garyn :-)
In reality gas should be of more relevance here - for some reason we barely see rises when oil is flying yet seem to get hit as much as oil producers when it drops! Gas has actually been reasonably stable the past couple of weeks! Added some more today.
Be good to close around 70p though :-)
Not today struggling to hold at these levels, may drop much further
Today
72p gap needs to be filled by the mm :)
Brent only down few cent
Good indeed bit of a pause is fine with the drop in Brent and the big rise yesterday. 75p next stop
interesting to see how it plays out today, oil prices down over night nearly 2 per cent
