Junior Market

Definition of 'Junior Market'

A market for trading in shares of smaller or younger companies. An example of this is AIM (Alternative Investment Market) which is a junior market to the LSE. Being listed on a Junior market is easier as they are less strict, and they are often a stepping-stone to a larger market, especially for a high-growth business.
