FBD Holdings PLC29 April 2008 FBD Holdings plc29 April 2008 Withdrawal by Eureko B.V. of its recent approach noted FBD Holdings plc ("FBD") notes the decision of Eureko B.V. to withdraw itsapproach. The proposal contained no commercial logic and had no certainty ofvalue. The Board of FBD considered carefully all aspects of the Eureko approach inconjunction with its financial advisers, Goldman Sachs International andGoodbody Corporate Finance, and concluded that the approach lacked anystrategic, commercial or financial rationale and consequently was not in theinterests of shareholders.
