Tottenham Hotspur PLC13 December 2006 13 December 2006 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR PLC SIR KEITH MILLS APPOINTED TO BOARD AS NON-EXEC DIRECTOR Tottenham Hotspur Plc has today announced the appointment of Sir Keith Mills asa non- executive director. In September 2003 Sir Keith was appointed International President and CEO ofLondon 2012 and led the team which delivered the successful bid for the 2012Olympic and Paralympic Games. Having now established the London 2012organisation which will plan and organise the Games (LOCOG), Sir Keith, as nonexecutive Deputy Chairman, will continue to work alongside Lord Coe, and CEOPaul Deighton to deliver the Games. Sir Keith, 56, has extensive experience in advertising and marketing and iscurrently also Chairman of the Loyalty Management Group, which owns and managesthe Nectar programme and licences Air Miles internationally. Sir Keith was theoriginal founder of the Air Miles programme and launched it in a joint venturewith BA in 1988 in the UK and subsequently has extended the concept to NorthAmerica and other European markets. Daniel Levy, Chairman, Tottenham Hotspur plc, commented on the appointment, "SirKeith is a significant addition to the Board. We welcome his breadth and depthof knowledge of international marketing and branding. We have long admired hisachievements and always felt he would be an excellent appointment, but whilstthe Club was actively considering the Olympic stadium option we felt it wasinappropriate for us to formally approach Sir Keith for this role. In light ofthe requirement for the Olympic stadium to retain a permanent athletics track,we are no longer considering this as an option and consequently we weredelighted when Sir Keith accepted our invitation to join the Board." Commenting on his appointment Sir Keith said, "I have followed the fortunes ofTottenham Hotspur for many years; it's clear that the Club has huge potential.I look forward to bringing my knowledge of sport and business to help the Clubgrow both domestically and internationally." Sir Keith is a keen sailor and in 1999 was one of the winning crew in theClipper Round the World Yacht Race. Earlier this year Sir Keith was voted SportsIndustry Personality of the Year.
