INTENDED PURCHASE OF SHARES TO SATISFY NON-EMPLOYEE DIRECTORS' SHARE PLAN AWARD

Burford Capital Limited, the leading global finance and asset management firm focused on law, today announces that it intends to conduct open market purchases of Burford Ordinary Shares to satisfy a grant of award under its Non-Employee Directors' Share Plan. These purchases will occur as soon as practicable during the Company's current open period between September 15, 2021 and September 24, 2021. These transactions will have a market value of approximately $150,000 and are expected to result in purchases of no more than 15,000 shares based on the average per share closing price on the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange on September 10, September 13 and September 14, 2021.
