Cambridge, UK: Abcam plc (AIM: ABC), a global leader in the supply of life science research tools, has today been notified that on 03 November 2014, Louise Patten, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, purchased 6,266 Ordinary Shares of 0.2 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 403.27 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Lady Patten's total interest in the Company has increased by 6,266 Ordinary Shares to a total of 19,883 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.01% of the Company's issued share capital.
