Eland Oil & Gas PLC (AIM: ELA) announces that it received notification on 4 December 2013 that Mr George Maxwell, Chief Financial Officer, purchased a total of 24,203 Eland Oil & Gas Plc ordinary shares at a price of 94.56 pence per share.

Following this notification the total beneficial holding of shares by Mr Maxwell and his connected persons is now 400,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.30% of the Company's total issued share capital.
