Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR), the developer, owner and operator of power generation capacity in Latin America, announces that Andrew Morris, the Company's Chairman acquired 100,000 ordinary 2p shares ("Ordinary Shares") in the capital of the Company at a price of 9.9 pence each on 8th December 2010.

Following this purchase, Mr Morris's beneficial interest in the Company is 100,000 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.05% of the issued share capital.
