UTV MEDIA PLC ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF JIM DOWNEY

The Board of UTV Media plc announces that Jim Downey will retire as Group Commercial Director on 31 December 2011.

Jim joined UTV in 1998 and was appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director in November 2000, a role he held until being appointed Group Commercial Director on 15 December 2006.

The Board wishes to thank Jim for his enormous contribution to the Company during a period of significant growth and transformation of the business and wishes him well for his retirement.
