Leading European telecoms network operator extends Ubisense contract with significant new €1m order

Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group Plc ("Ubisense" or the "Company") (LSE:UBI), a market leader in location based smart technology, is pleased to announce the extension of a significant Geospatial contract with a large European telecommunications network operator.

The 12 month contract renewal is valued at approximately €1m, higher than the previous contract and involves Ubisense continuing to provide planning extensions solutions for the operator's fibre to the home (FTTH) network across Europe.

Ubisense's telecoms solutions, when delivered with the expertise of the Ubisense team, greatly reduce the time and effort associated with traditional fibre planning approaches, helping to speed up network deployment and optimising capital investment. This is particularly important in the current telecommunications marketplace as operators face increased pressure to respond to growing bandwidth demands by adding optical fibre infrastructure to their networks, either directly to customer dwellings or to nearby distribution points.
