Huntsworth, the international healthcare and communications group, announces that Derek Mapp has notified the Board of his intention to step down as the Company's Chair.

Andy Boland, Huntsworth's Senior Independent Director, will lead the search of a successor and the process of finding a new Chair will now begin. Derek is committed to remaining as Chair until a suitable replacement is found and there will be an orderly succession period.

Commenting on the announcement, Derek Mapp, said:

"There is real momentum at Huntsworth as all the agencies focus on what is of most value to their clients. There is a very different sense of what is possible than there was just over three years ago when I joined the group. So it is with much sadness that, given my other commitments, I will step down as Chair."

Huntsworth Chief Executive Paul Taaffe, said:

"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Derek for his leadership in guiding us all through the restructure of Huntsworth to where we are today. His contribution through a period of significant change can be seen in the 2017 results and we are delighted that he will stay with us until a new Chair has been appointed."

The Company also announces that Andy Boland has been appointed as a member of its Remuneration Committee.
