Fenner PLC Interim Board Change

Fenner PLC, announces that Nick Hobson, its Chief Executive Officer, has taken a temporary leave of absence due to physical ill health. Mark Abrahams, non-executive Chairman, has agreed to step in as Executive Chairman on an interim basis and will work with John Pratt, the Group Finance Director.

Mark Abrahams joined Fenner in 1990 and was the Chief Executive Officer from 1994 until March 2011 when he became Non-Executive Chairman. As such he has 25 years' experience with the Group and extensive knowledge of its operations.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Abrahams, said "As the current Non-Executive Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of Fenner, I would like to assure shareholders of my commitment to this interim role and confirm that I intend to come back on a full time basis until the conclusion of the interim appointment.

I am also announcing my intention to retire from my role as Non-Executive Chairman of Fenner at the conclusion of my current appointment in February 2017. A search for my successor will commence in due course.

Meanwhile, on behalf of the Board and everyone at Fenner, I would like to wish Nick a full and speedy recovery."
