Bonhill Group Plc (AIM: BONH), a leading B2B media business specialising in three key areas: Business Information, Events and Data & Analytics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Staveley as a non-independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Richard is a qualified accountant who has over twenty years' experience of equity investing, fund management and working with both private and publicly quoted companies.
Richard is a consultant to Harwood Capital LLP, the investment manager of Gresham House Strategic plc, which holds 14.6 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Richard has worked in a senior capacity and fund manager at a number of successful fund management businesses, including Majedie Asset Management and was a co-founder of River and Mercantile Asset Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in politics from the University of Newcastle.
In addition, the Company announces that Sarah Thompson, the Company's Chief Financial Officer, will be taking maternity leave from mid-January 2022 and that it has appointed Simon Bullock as interim Chief Financial Officer with effect from 4 January 2022 as maternity cover. It is intended that Sarah Thompson will return to a full-time role in Q4 2022. Simon Bullock, who until recently was Chief Financial Officer of Merit Group plc, has 30 years' finance experience, including more than 20 years' operating at CFO level across a wide range of complementary sectors including media, events, SaaS and technology. The interim Chief Financial Officer is a non-Board role.
