Correction to RNS 6297O: in the Company's announcement dated 12 October 2012 the revised issued share capital was stated as 1,032,133,831 instead of 1,032,233,831. The full text of the announcement follows, including the correct figure.

Exercise of Options
Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas explorer and developer focused in South America, announces that on 12 October 2012, George Woodcock, a non-executive director of the Company exercised an option to acquire 500,000 ordinary shares issued to him under the LTIP for the nominal value of 0.1p each.
Following this exercise, George Woodcock has a beneficial interest in 1,276,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.12% of the Company's issued share capital.
Application has been made for the shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 18 October 2012. Upon Admission, the Company's revised issued share capital will be 1,032,233,831.
