can someone help me understand why PAF report in £ when they are predominantly in South Africa ? Most of their cash i am assuming is received in rand (ZAR) ? their bank account will be in south africa again i am assuming ?
funkym3 - or anyone else - is this a placing that has just happened ? or just some institution buying a load of shares ? how on earth did they get the shares for 1p ?
worrying cash flow yet again. i dont bother even looking at the P/L figures with this company, i go straight to the CFS. £1.822 cash generated - thats before you take off deprecation and ammortisation. £2.121m dev costs capitalised. so in total theres a net cash loss for the 6 months. this is a loss making company and the markets will not mark the current sp up any time soon. it will take small pi's buying this stock to push the price up and at the moment cannot see that happening given the current turmoil in the markets. sold my tranche yesterday for a measly profit. all in my humble opinion of course...good luck to all still invested...
ridiculous in the sense that is a great yield, not because i do not understand the calculations behind a div yield - sorry if that was not clear... anyway i was wrong at 90p its more like 6% not 6.5... i topped up at 94p so got myself 5% ish yield which is nice. looing forward to the results...
I think the lack of replies suggests no one knows !
kcom div yield is now 6.5% - ridiculous !
todays spike...here to stay at circa 11p now ? no rns so this must be on the back of the last 2 rns this week....
ok... NOW its on the slide ;) i guess thats the problem with gold companies - just look at the charts - up down up down - same as rio tinto for example. now is a fantastic time to buy - a guaranteed div yield of > 6 with a chance for nice capital gains too. my average is 14p so im in the red but not too bothered to be honest.
...good fortune... that i was sat at my desk during the spike which lasted for what, 30, 40 mins ? i managed to sell 1k's worth at 11p and bought them all back at 9. foolish perhaps. next prelims are going to very important, they would have had a whole 12 months to at least improve on the sales ledger situation.
ah you mean the rns does not cover up the underlying issue of the sales ledger situation - gotcha.
sorry for sounding thick but...what do you mean ?
do Viacom18 have a history of paying people for their services ?
...but i sold some of my shares just now...made a bit of profit too...still got loads left though !
...so sp driven by pi panicking today - someone started the ball rolling and the rest followed suit. hopefuly sense will prevail and we will see this climb back up soon...
just checked the days buys/sells and it looks like ALL sells in the range of 1k to 10k - points to PIs getting nervous ? i think if its still at price come 4:30pm we will see some buys from the institutions.
strange reaction to a positive set of interims. the two 'downsides' i guess are the drop in turnover and the fact that the div has not increased. the BOD did say though that turnover is not a reliable measure of performance, and that we should take operating profit instead, which has increased - but then they would they that i suppose ! im not sure if expected more though... anyone elses thoughts ?
