A concern of mine is whether they will even tell us about the conversion of any loans just right now? They have never mentioned them in RNS. RM mentioned something about the prospectus in February so will we only find out then?

Think you have hit the nail on the head there - this is the single most important factor that needs to be positive (especially if no funding is imminent from Philaro). If they are making enough to keep basic ops going, then that's a really good starting point.

That's a good post JC. Re your worst case scenario at point 10, it all depends on the amount of dilution/conversion that is going to be needed. At this very low mcap and share price, it is going to hurt. So GCAT really want to avoid this, if it possibly can - even if that means putting the brakes on any none essential activities, whilst they focus instead on sorting out new funders. They will have to manage the comms around any such decision very carefully though.

Also, do we need to add possible takeover or JV to the list of possibilities? A gold producer with 2-3 million ounces and sitting on a potential new discovery at VR, and currently priced at £7 million and in need of cash, is surely going to attract some attention, and not just from funders? GCAT might need to bite the bullet, and share the cake with another company? All imo and DYOR

It's perfectly okay to have people with negative views, provided they explain their reasons and are not just de-ramping. In fact, even the de-rampers are free to post. Otherwise, this bb just turns into an echo chamber and PJ fan club, and thus will add no real value to investors. If we are confident about POW, then take on the negative views with counter arguments. Play the ball and not the man.
I have no issue with the placing. It was done at minimal discount and the warrants are the price you have to pay for that. The main hope is that the money raised drives growth, so that any future raise is done at higher levels. It's the companies that continuously and successively raise at lower levels, that can really kill your investment as a lth. Here, in the short term, I hope that we get going in Tati as soon as we can, and ride this POG wave - opportunities like this don't come around too often, and don't last forever. So we need to be on the ground again in Tati as soon as we can, now that we have the funds.
And on Tati, we should very much hold PJ to his comments that Tati could generate early revenue. I will be tracking progress on that side of things very closely, as much as the actual exploration. I hope it wasn't just something said as a ramp, that then doesn't materialise or melts away in the comms. All imo and DYOR

Looks like a bull trap, based on bull to me. Good luck to the traders - it's all fair game I guess - but I just hope anyone who has lost money doesn't lose any more by buying on these rumours, which the traders/mischief makers will then sell into.
But of course for lth, I hope GCAT does sort it out.
I'm on the side lines here until the company announces its financial situation, which has been my position all along. And I'm not going to be swayed by share price movements up or down before then, or by name calling on here.

Yes, delighted for all the lth if GCAT have sorted out the financing. But a lot of folk have lost a lot of money here, and so shameless and baseless ramping isn't going to help. Still, if anyone buys or sells based on rumours and dubious postings on here, then they only have themselves to blame.

And/Or the people who have been ramping today based on unsubstantiated rumours. Didn't someone suggest that there had been shorting going on, and just wondering if the shorters of the past are the rampers of today? All imo

Yes, but with KAV's innovative methods, they wouldn't be like any other vegetables, but the best produce available. And we could even handpick who we want to partner with: M&S, Waitrose, Morrisons, Sainsbury's... you name it.

The deadline for proxy voting at the AGM passed today. So that's one less reason for them to worry about. Really, they should release the updates before the AGM, to enable attendees to ask them questions at the AGM. But then that might not be what they are looking for. All imo

Cox - If memory serves me correctly, I do believe that you have slated all things KAV in the past as well, only to then return here months later, reinvest and then become disgruntled again? You really should make up your mind about this share, and then stick to it.

He spoke at reasonable length about Molopo. They are into the latter stages of the drilling programme by the sounds of it. No sign or hint of a share price moving outcome so far? I do find it hard to believe that such an outcome will only properly reveal itself from assay results, rather than during the drilling programme itself, but I'm no geologist and if that's what PJ is saying, then that's what we will have to wait for. But then what happens if the initial assays results aren't great, do you then have to wait for all assays results to come back (nothing here that not all of the drilled core has been dispatched yet, and they are still drilling core out of the ground) because the initial results aren't the whole picture, and could be misleading? Therefore, could be a very long wait if you follow that sort of approach.
Anyway, I can totally understand that we just have to be patient and wait however long it takes for assay results. But you can also see the potential here, for any companies that are so inclined to use the whole 'we have to wait for the assay results' process to kick the bad news can down the road. Not saying its the case here, but there are no doubt some companies that will do this? All imo

Thanks Zan - any insights (even if guesses) you (or anybody else) are able to offer about the disparity would be great. I'm not asking out of idle curiosity either. Next week, if the updates provided by the company offer sufficient and credible re-assurance in the areas that I have been concerned about, then I would consider reinvesting here. If by that point, the prices on the two exchanges are not reconciled, then its just an added thing to think about really, especially if you don't understand the reasons for it. All imo

Its funny, we spend several months leading up to drilling campaigns, being told how fantastic and innovative the company is at all things geology and its exploration methods and techniques, only to then end up with drilling campaigns, which don't quite go as expected, leading to a re-think. I know that this is the nature of exploration, but I can't quite help think along these lines whenever I now hear BT laud the geology/methods being used by KAV, and especially after how last year - the year of discovery went. And overall, I sort of have less confidence in the methods/team now, than when I first invested here! Probably a natural consequence of a failed year of discovery, and having to listen over and over again to the same rhetoric, without the results to then back it up. Hopefully, the results on the ground this year will live up to the hype off it. Otherwise what's the point in having all these able geos and sophisticated methods, if it doesn't actually decrease the timescale towards making an actual discovery.
I know I'm probably being overly critical, grumpy, harsh and impatient there.
But otherwise happy with the rest of the interview :-)

Thanks Zan TM - that's very useful. What do you put the current disparity in pricing between the two exchanges down to here (looking at the charts, they have been trading in relative synchrony). Is it simply different liquidity and/or differing market reactions? Is it a problem for buyers in London if it continues, or will they be reconciled again at some point.

Does anyone know for sure that GCAT has been shorted? I only ask because I know that for many mainstream stocks, the short interest in the stock is published, like any other metric. Can't find that data for here thought. For my part, I have wondered whether the main play here is buying in Frankfurt and sell in London and vice versa - IF that is possible, i don't know? I recall a few years ago being involved in another dual listed stock, where it was suggested that this was done by the more sophisticated market participants out there.

Good point about the AGM Suggins. The Resolutions themselves don't make you think anything untoward. I guess some have been concerned at the fact that it wasn't RNS'd or published on the website.
I wonder how well attended it will be. I mean, is anyone on here actually attending that AGM?
