Work Group makes loss

Marketing services company Work Group made a full-year loss but said it has entered 2010 with a strong balance sheet and debt-free.The group made an operating loss of £0.1m in the 12 months ended 31 December compared with a £1.1m profit last time.Net fee income dropped to £10.2m from £14.9m previously."The economy is clearly not out of the woods yet but we are excited about our plans for the future. In the first two months of the year, overall trading has been in line with expectations," said executive chairman Simon Howard.
