TRADING UPDATES: Chaarat Gold beats guidance for 2021 Kapan output

Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd - gold miner in Armenia and mine developer in Kyrgyz Republic - For 2021, Kapan mine ends with output of 63,000 gold equivalent ounces, beating guidance of 57,000 ounces. Its standalone earnings per interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rises 20% to USD22.7 million from USD19 million. Looking ahead, Kapan mine is expected to produce 50,000 to 53,000 ounces of own ore for 2022. Meanwhile, at the East Flank, resource definition drilling is ongoing.

RTC Group PLC - London-based recruitment company - For 2021, company results will reflect a period of lag in replacing revenue, due to a slowdown in activities caused by Covid and the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan. In addition, revenue in 2020 was bolstered by a one-off contract performance settlement of GBP590,000, which is not repeated in 2021.

Civitas Social Housing PLC - social housing investor - As at December 31, net asset value per share edges up to 108.78 pence from 108.49p on September 30. Portfolio NAV stands at GBP741.3 million at a net initial yield of 5.06%. Declares third quarter dividend of 1.3875 pence per share, as part of annual dividend target of 5.55p for the year ending March 31.

Castillo Copper Ltd - Perth, Australia-based exploration company focused on copper across Australia and Zambia - Following strategic review, has determined that the key priority should be modelling a mineral resource estimate for cobalt at the BHA Project's East Zone, leading to the plan of listing the BHA Group on the ASX being deferred.

Oriole Resources PLC - exploration company operating in west Africa - At its 90%-owned Wapouze gold project in Cameroon, has completed five trenches for a total of 2,524 metres at the Bataol zone, returning anomalous gold, and mineralisation being hosted by quartz veinlets within sedimentary schist. In addition, phase three diamond drilling programme at its Bibemi gold project has delivered significant intersections, and confirmed a mineralised corridor at Bakassi zone one which extends over widths of up to 150 metres and more than 1 kilometres along strike.

Caracal Gold PLC - gold producer in East Africa - For the fourth quarter of 2021, achieves record run of mine ore production at Kilimapesa, with 38,351 tonnes of ore produced from both underground and open pit operations. Looking ahead, will start its accelerated development plan, which includes further expansion to the open pit, underground mining and mine develop activities to ensure ROM output can support a doubling of the milling circuit capacity to 1,000 tonnes per day from 500 tonnes per day.

OptiBiotix Health PLC - York, England-based life sciences company - Has made progress on strategy to sell products through a mix of smaller, quick to market partners and larger partners which normally enter the market once product credibility is established. So far, company has signed three deals in December for several products, established a new sales infrastructure for its B2B infrastructure in the US, and expanded its first generation products to include LeanBiome.

Hummingbird Resources PLC - gold miner with projects in Mali, Liberia and Guinea - Reveals further results from 2021 exploration drilling programme at the Yanfolila gold mine in Mali, specifically the Sanioumale East and greenfield deposit. Findings show significant grade, extending depth for the deposit. In addition, highlights the upside potential to the deposit's current resources and reserves profile of 204,000 and 100,300 ounces respectively.

African Pioneer PLC - Isle of Man-based natural resources company - Following site visit to Ongombo copper mine project in Namibia, the engineering consultant has reviewed and validated scoping study assumptions, while sulphide mineralisation has been identified over and above the previously recorded sulphide mineral resource. A drill plan has been approved and will be implemented shortly.

Yamana Gold Inc - Toronto-based miner in Canada and Brazil - As at December 31, reported 13.7 million ounces of gold mineral reserves and 111 million ounces of silver mineral ounces, remaining flat compared to the prior year. For the development projects, there are mineral reserves of 7.1 million ounces of gold, 57 million ounces of silver, and 6.7 billion pounds of copper represent significant upside potential within the existing portfolio.
