(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Severfield PLC, up 8.2% at 82 pence, 12-month range 51.2p-82p. Shares hit fresh 12-month high after the North Yorkshire-based structural steel firm forecasts 2021 pretax profit estimates to be "comfortably above" previous expectations. Severfield remains optimistic over prospects amid order book of GBP315 million.

Trifast PLC, up 3.5% at 166.50p, 12-month range 95p-169p. The industrial fastenings firm says it has seen demand in key end markets and regions increase on a sustained basis during fourth quarter. Expects financial 2021 results ahead of current market expectations on an underlying basis.

Henry Boot PLC, up 3.3% at 284p, 12-month range 220p-290p. The construction firm says it has boosted its pipeline with two strategic acquisitions. It acquires Allied Business Centre from West Pimbo for GBP4.8 million. It also acquires Birmingham site with view to deliver GBP100 million residential-led scheme.

Caerus Mineral Resources PLC, down 8.3% at 13.75p, 12-month range 10p-15p. The exploration & resource development company says phase 2 drill programme approved for Troulli project in Cyprus and planning to test various dumps at Troulli license. "The results of our exploration programmes to date have been very encouraging and should provide shareholders with the confidence that exploration funds are being well spent. Whilst work is still ongoing to fully define the scope of our copper-gold resource inventory, current 'in-house' estimates are close with our strategic targets," says Chief Executive Officer Martyn Churchouse.
