Shell Motiva Port Arthur refinery shuts unit, several at lower rates

Aug 19 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc said its600,000 barrel-per-day Motiva refinery in Port Arthur, Texas,shut down an unspecified unit following an operational issue onSaturday.

"While repairs are being made to this unit, several unitsthat are integrated to this one will run at reduced rates, andothers are being shut down in a safe and orderly manner,"company spokeswoman Kimberly Windon said in an email.

Motiva is a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell Plc andSaudi Refining.

There were no injuries And no offsite impacts, Windon added.
