Shell Deer Park, Texas, refinery running at 87% of capacity -sources

Mon, 11th May 2020 16:22

HOUSTON, May 11 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc’s
joint-venture Deer Park, Texas, refinery is operating at 87% of
its 275,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) capacity because of low demand
brought on by the coronavirus epidemic, said sources familiar
with plant operations.

Shell has not determined when it will begin to increase
production at the refinery, which is a 50-50 joint-venture
between Shell and Petroleos Mexicanos, the national
oil company of Mexico. Shell is the managing partner.
