PRESS: Barrick Gold To Tidy Up Portfolio With Asset Sales After Merger

LONDON (Alliance News) - Barrick Gold Corp plans a "clean up" of its assets once it completes its merger with London-listed Randgold Resources Ltd, Sky News reported on Wednesday.

Sky News said the new company, to be called Barrick Group, will focus on 'Tier One' assets, meaning mines which produce over 500,000 ounces of gold a year and have a life of over a decade.
