Tue, 15th Feb 2022 07:26

(Sharecast News) - Metro Bank said on Tuesday that chief financial officer David Arden will step down with immediate effect and leave the business on 1 April.

Deputy CFO Marc Jenkins will assume responsibility for the finance function while the bank searches for an interim CFO.

Chief executive officer Daniel Frumkin said: "On behalf of the board I would like to thank David for the important work that he has done to strengthen Metro Bank's financial controls over the past two years. He has played an instrumental role in helping to deliver the bank's strategic priorities and turnaround plan and leaves with our best wishes for the future."

The challenger bank also said that its preliminary financial results - due on 23 February - are set to be in line with management expectations.
