India Oil Minister: Vietnam Agreed To Let ONGC Buy BP Stake

DALAT, Vietnam (Dow Jones)--Vietnam has agreed to let Oil & Natural Gas Corp. (500312.BY) to buy BP PLC's (BP) stake in a gas block in the country, India's oil minister Murli Deora said Thursday. Deora was speaking to Dow Jones Newswires after a 5-minute private meeting with Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang, on the sidelines of a meeting of energy ministers from the Association of South-East Asian Nations in Dalat in the Central Highlands. "It was a very successful meeting," Deora said.
