IN BRIEF: Card Factory adds former Asda CFO Robert McWilliam to board

Card Factory PLC - Wakefield, West Yorkshire-based greeting cards retailer - Hires Robert McWilliam as an independent non-executive director, starting November 1, replacing David Stead, who will step down from the board on November 30. Stead had joined the board just before Card Factory's 2014 initial public offering in London. McWilliam was chief financial officer of UK supermarket chain Asda from 2018 until this year.

Current stock price: 49.49 pence, down 3.9% on Wednesday

Year-to-date change: up 16%
