Deutsche Post Expands Service For Online Fashion Firm ASOS In Italy

(Alliance News) - Deutsche Post AG, a German package delivery and supply chain management company, said its DHL Group business has expanded its service for UK online fashion and beauty firm ASOS PLC.

DHL has helped ASOS with its expansion into a number of markets, beginning with Germany and now covering 14 markets in Europe.

In this most recent development, ASOS has changed its standard delivery service to Italy using the DHL Parcel Connect platform, with DHL Express as delivery partner. Using this platform, ASOS can begin to offer direct addressing to over 70,00 service points.

Riccardo Mannhoefer, head of Delivery Solutions at ASOS, said: "Italy is a very important market for us. This is a milestone in our long-standing partnership with DHL, as it allows us to further expand our service and reach our customers quickly and cost-effectively."

Shares in ASOS were down 0.9% at 4,560.00 in London on Thursday. Deutsche Post shares were up 1.1% at EUR41.38 in Frankfurt.
