CentralNic Group appoints new chairman

(ShareCast News) - Internet platform business CentralNic has appointed Mike Turner as non-executive chairman, the company said on Tuesday.Turner, a partner and international head of technology media and communications at law firm Taylor Wessing, will replace John Swingewood, who has resigned to pursue other interests."Mike Turner is one of the best-known figures in European and Trans-Atlantic Technology M&A," said group chief executive Ben Crawford."His experience in leading and advising on major transactions is matched by his passion for the technology sector."Mike's deep expertise and vast network will be invaluable to CentralNic as we continue our combination of organic and acquisition-led growth."CentralNic shares were up 3.02% to 75.72p at 0824 BST on Tuesday.
