Brazil health regulator says AstraZeneca halted global COVID vaccine trial

BRASILIA, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Brazil health regulator Anvisa
said on Tuesday that AstraZeneca PLC had announced the
suspension of global trials for a coronavirus vaccine, which
included a human trial being done in Brazil.

AstraZeneca had directly informed Anvisa about the
suspension, the regulator said, adding that it is waiting for
further details on the reason trials were stopped.
