(Alliance News) - Mining company Pembridge Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has hired David James as chief financial officer effective immediately.
James will replace Paul Fenby who will leave the company at the end of February.
James qualified as an accountant with KPMG in 1995 and has worked for blue-chip multinationals, Pembridge said, adding that for the last ten years, he has been running his own business as a consolidation and reporting specialist, providing financial reporting services mainly to multinational listed companies.
"I am pleased that we are joined by David, who brings a wealth of relevant experience. I look forward to working with him as we progress the next stage of Pembridge's development, said Pembridge Chief Executive Gati Al-Jebouri.
"Paul has made a significant contribution to Pembridge both in the acquisition of the Minto mine, and the subsequent re-admission of the company's shares to trading on the main market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange. I have appreciated his support since I became chief executive and wish him well in his new endeavours," he added.
In a separate statement, Pembridge said it has changed its registered office to that of its corporate lawyers Kernan & Co.
Pembridge stock was trading down 1.1% at 11.62 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
