London South East were delighted to welcome George Lucan, CEO at Angus Energy (ANGS), the Energy Transition business, to our April Investor Webinar (26.04.2022).
A couple of years ago Angus Energy acquired 51% of the Saltfleetby Gas Field in East Lincolnshire, formerly the UK's largest onshore gas field. "That was stranded by the closure of the nearby refinery and we undertook to process gas and reconnect it to the grid. And that is what we have almost done" explained George. "We are probably the UK's only extraction and processing plant which the UK has ever seen, so we are quite unique".
"We are in the run up to our First Gas date at the end of May, and still hope to be clear of debt by the year end, assuming all goes well with the sidetrack well which gets drilled in June and is set to double our gas output."
