SGM Sigma, might get some of these depends on the spread, "significantly ahead of current market expectations" . ....http://www.investegate.co.uk/sigma-capital-group--sgm-/rns/trading-update/201601050700077907K/ …
What an excellent and very reassuring update from a company which is in the right place at the right time given the commitment to the development of alternative models of funding rental properties. It is always positive to read of profits being significantly ahead of market expectations. Very happy this morning.
Discovered this after a mention by Chrishutch on the CTP board today and, having read as much as I could, including Midas, I bought in for the first time today and see this as one to hold for a couple of years as it develops what seems like an excellent model which should be one element of the renewed drive to build affordable housing.

UK Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Greg Clark, says in today's RNS: It is encouraging that Sigma is harnessing up to £1 billion of investment for the construction of 10,000 new rental homes in the UK. Underpinning the Sigma model is their work in partnership with local authorities who have a crucial role to play in the rapid delivery of new housing." David Sigsworth, Chairman of Sigma, stated in the Company's final results to Dec 2014, 'The new homes under both agreements will be built on land procured and developed by Sigma, through our local authority partnerships and house building partners. Looking ahead, we have set ourselves the target of delivering in excess of 10,000 new homes in the next five years, with these new homes comprising a mix of PRS, market for sale and social housing. We also expect to participate in these opportunities using the Group’s own capital. With our PRS Joint Venture with Gatehouse gaining momentum and our relationship with Grainger now underway, we are confident of further progress to come over 2015.”
Relentless buying. £1 coming. Hope not too many of you have missed this mornings cracking RNS
Ticking up all the time. Where could this finish today on that news?
Very hard to buy. Not surprised on that news
£1 billion compared with £40mill market cap. Very nice
WOW RNS....How much?
hi mate meadows used to be bad but now much improved as far as I know....St.anns also not as bad as it used to but still has the reputation! will see what transpires for SGM as I like the company and in certainly regeneration is very good market to be in.
Seen your post traffic here, know you're an LFC fan but don't know how familiar you are with city...Norris Green gangland/v dangerous, reckon significantly worse than St Anns, Meadows, etc. Check house prices on Rightmove, but not unusual to be able to buy 2 bedroom houses there for £40k...so not sure margin on this contract will be very big. Opinion only, as ever.

The land transfer and proposed affordable housing form part of the fifth phase in the redevelopment of Norris Green Village, a 63 acre site, located five miles from Liverpool City Centre.
fantastic rns...and an excellent company!
This has fallen back - due to the share dilution - I can only see this as going up from here - anyone else have any thoughts here ... Where they may be investing the £8M just raised ???
My buys today show as a sell .... So what's the point of the stats ?
What's going on with all theses RNS's re Hendersons, confused!
Topped up with more shares and brought straight back in at 79p. It seems the MM's are playing with it. I don't think it will go much further down now.!
Sold @ 79p. Made a quick buck. Could have sold at 93p high but gift of hindsight. Will dip back in again after/if it picks up. GL
What brings you to this figure? What's it based on or is it just a "finger in the air" Dog
My expectations here are £1.20 by end of Q1 and £2.00 by end of year DYOR and good luck
Good question young Maverick. I too was wondering the same. Maybe some of our wiser posters can help. Im in at 19p and sitting on a lovely return. £1 was hinted at a while back, but thoughts?
YoungMaverick Posts: 445 Off Topic Opinion: No Opinion Price: 59.50 View Thread (2) Took a Punt 27 Jan '14 Guys, I will be honest. I have taken a punt here with a small amount I can lose. I have seen the rise in the share over the last few months and thought why not. in at 61p and would like to make a few bob. ------------ Good investment, sitting on a paper profit. Thoughts on when to exit. I initially had my sights set on £1.20. No idea whether SGM can maintain this rise and reach it or whether I should exit now.
Normal service resumed
Hmmm, big dip today, have we peaked? Has the lovely ride ended?
