Can the day traders recommend a trading platform please? I currently use Pluss 500 but the spread and returns and not great compared to for example day trading US shares. And yes I think it would be quite a white knuckle ride currently!
Sorry, be 50% loss
:O
Its where you buy on a dip and sell when the price rises, usually around 10%. For example last week bought at around 37p and 90 mins later it was 41.
If you bought today at the morning lows and sold round about now would be a good return. Some people just do that over and over rather than hold for the longer term.
Some platforms like HSBC that I use give me a trading credit facility so as long as I buy and sell the same day it doesnt actually cost me anything. However is riskier as if you sell out in the evening you could miss out on a large rise the following morning, and you also run the risk that the price wont go higher than you bought in so you may need to sell at a loss if you do cash out, or be prepared to hold a little longer.
The movement on the price here and the often predictability of the dips and highs makes it a good one, but of course always risks otherwise it would be easy. Good luck
It's where you spend a couple of hours making 20% profit, whilst the rest of us who have been sitting watching our screens every hour of every day for the past 8 months make a 20% loss.
;D
I thought that would be what it meant..
I’ve been buying and selling part of my shares in cine to try and slowly increase - I have managed to increase my share number by about 10%
I’m guessing a ‘day trader’ trades a much higher volume though to get that percentage
short term trading. Buy into a share and then get out for a small quick profit. It doesn't have to be held for a day and in fact is usually held for a much shorter period.
It's where you buy into a stock and get out the same day.
Can someone briefly explain what day-trading is?
Luckyno7 share like this one, especially now... best for day trade... anyway.. gl(honestly gl)... I am off, enough profit for today
I have an underlying holding but have also been day trading. Have had a few occassions where have had to hold into the next day but the volatility makes it a good one to trade.
I am (in part, not fully) daytrading this and its terrifying lol.
yes, its not for the faint-hearted.
Anyone tempted to or is day trading on this? Buying not selling.
