poorinvester - The volumes in winter will be nothing like they are now, the vaccines provide circa 90% protection, all adults will be vaccinated by the end of July, followed by a booster in autumn, so where do you get your figures from please?
Nate.... something worth bearing in mind is that the vaccines don’t necessarily stop the virus from spreading. Also whilst they lessen the chances of someone becoming SERIOUSLY ILL, it doesn’t mean that someone exposed to the virus won’t become ill at all. Many working days will be lost to Covid, even when we are all vaccinated because people will still become poorly. Additionally we don’t know how long the vaccine protection lasts for or what variants might come along which the vaccines are not so effective against. With all of that in mind and also the fact that Covid is a global issue, not just a UK one, there will be a need for Covid-killing masks for years to come I’m afraid.
Why send out an RNS about misinformation, strange? What they should have done is provided an update on the machine, current performance levels etc. No contracts in place, no orders, this is yet another negative RNS, are we being played? Do people want in at a lower price??
Nate-PI, for the hundredth time, the cases always go down towards summer plus we have had a lock down for the past few weeks. Moment winter comes again, the infection rate will go up, vaccine or no vaccine, masks are needed. This is what our chief medical officer is saying. Please do some research.
I agree with some of your remarks but, remember we had a BOD that really wasnt interested in preparing, and taking the company further for many months before this BOD took over. They were too busy sorting out their far more important Warrants.! And boy, didnt they make a superb job of that!
"More than 18.6 million people have now had their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine in the UK, a rise of 448,962. It's the highest rise in vaccinations so far."
"And 700,718 people have now had their second jab - up by 31,613, which is a record rise."
"The pace of the vaccine rollout and downward trend in infections and deaths means the UK's four chief medical officers (CMOs) have agreed that the nationwide alert level should move from level five - the highest - to level four."
Never mind a bigger boat or even just a peddalo, the boat will have well and truly left the harbor shortly, or even sunk.
Meanwhile, our BOD are "making careful preparations". We have been waiting since October for these masks which were originally supposed to go into production in December.
I have been Mr. patient here but I'm sorry, by the time we eventually get these to market, even with the UK being ahead of the vaccination curve in comparison to the EU, the demand will simply not be sufficient enough. Hopefully, with news we'll get a sizeable enough rise to let us all get a decent exit but this company will never materialise into anything more other than an exit strategy.
Fingers crossed we all get what we need here, eventually...
Nate
