Great question - We all want to know how OBC will benefit in £££ terms from the project.
I have no idea about the details of any such arrangement, as nothing has really been said publicly on the matter.
As far as I can tell, all of this is yet to be fully determined/announced.
Umbria is an OBC project, so in my mind, they own it 100%. I guess it could be floated off later somehow.
The lack of clarity about revenue streams is unsurprising, given that Umbria is still 'hatching', and won't be fully revenue-fledged for a while yet. All that detail will hopefully come later, but for now, it is about the potential.
If the Narni Bridge flies, and the crypto-limelight settles on OBC/Umbria for even a short time, significant gains could be seen in both OBC share value and UMBR token value. The MATIC bridge is both slow and expensive (it takes 7 DAYS (!) to transfer tokens from MATIC net to ETH net, and up to an hour from ETH net to MATIC net. In this day and age, we are used to transactions taking seconds, not hours/days.
Incidentally, the market cap of MATIC is currently $6,750,000,000. Imagine if even a small percent of that sum came over our fancy new cheaper faster bridge instead of the old slow expensive MATIC bridge (went live in June 2020). There is nothing like saving money/time/worry to motivate people to try something new.
For comparison, UMBR market cap is currently just $3,600,000 which is 5 million tokens at c 72c
There are another 5 million in reserve giving a 10 million maximum total. There are about 6 billion MATIC tokens in existence with a maximum total supply of 10 billion.
(OBC's market cap is just under £6,000,000 and AFN's is a shade under £18,000,000)
We have all seen what can happen when investor attention is drawn to a certain share or crypto coin/token.
The comparative scarcity of both OBC shares and UMBR tokens continues to appeal in that respect.
Very interested to hear how much APY stablecoin farmers are going to be able to make by staking on the Narni bridge.
If it is significantly above what can be had elsewhere, serious money might be tempted over to our side.
Bought a few more shares around 41-42p over the last few days.
Hoping for a bit of this when the Narni Launch happens..

Cantanae innovations another great blockchain company it's going to boom ££€€€£
I think the idea of Umbria is fantastic and just what is needed in this space. However, how much are OBC getting to act as coordinator, administrator and advisor? Is it a % of Umbria income or based on milestones/targets being met. Appreciate any colour anyone has on it. thx

The build-up to Narni Bridge launch has begun IMHO.
