Thanks for the response.
Yeah I think I'll just have to keep it in there for the long terms and see what I can recover. I was just thinking if it was worth putting more in to see if I can recover what I lost.
Yeah I need to look at steady growth companies, but not fully sure what ones to look at.
Let's hope!
Thanks for the response. Yeah I wanted to use funds...but there tends to be so many out there. Kind of wanted a couple of funds with some individual stocks and at the time, this stock looked sweet and being in healthcare, I was feeling optimistic. Guess the change in board is what was needed
Just Lane the rest of the money in the company - you free to consider it a long term investment now and a learn learnt, to make back your £1500 (approx) in a short space of time and in another company takes alot of effort, research, mental stability and luck, which isn't worth the trouble for a new intestor. And to make the kind of ferry back in short space is again taking huge risks like another nmc situation - not worth the stress . Keep investing in other new companies with your new cash in STEADY GROWTH companies. Which will eventually overshadow the big loss and IF NMC even recover to 12-15 you recovered a lot.
A lot of us on this BB is feeling a similar pain. I can’t speak for you but I am going to wait until the earning report which is happening on the the 6th March. If the fundamental is still good according to me then I will hold. Otherwise I will have to sell. This stock has been a traders dream but I am an investor so it has been a nightmare for me. Hope all is good come the yearly report
Just hold fire. Results should be ok, and they are having a spring clean at management level.
Hi everybody,
So this is my first post and I'm a 'fairly' newbie Investor so go easy :-)
Just wanted abit of advice. I'm getting used to the stock market and I bought NMC shares a while back (will talk cash as I don't know the share talk very well).
Bought NMC shares in my ISA and put in about £1974 into the company at the time. Because of the rapid drop, I now only have £488 quid left, so a loss of nearly £1500, 75%(boo!).
So I'm not really sure what to do next....do I just take the loss and sell up. Or do I just hold the shares for a little while longer, or I do I buy more to try and claw my money back (not sure how much more I need to buy if it's that option).
I know compared to some it's not alot of money and my heart goes out to you and hope you recover your losses.
Be grateful for some tips. Thanks :)
