Group PLC10 August 2006 Letter to: RNSDated: 10 August 2006 N Brown Group plc ('the Company') has been informed that on the 9th August 2006the Trustees of the Company's No. 2 Employee Share Ownership Trust ('the No 2EBT') sold 150,000 ordinary 10p shares in the Company at a price of £2.18 pershare. The class of discretionary beneficiaries for whom the No. 2 EBT holdssuch shares consists of employees of companies within the N Brown Group,including the following executive directors of the Company: Mr Alan White and MrDean Moore. Each such executive director is accordingly technically deemed to bebeneficially interested in all of such shares held by the No. 2 EBT, nowamounting to 243,787 Shares.
