Caspian Holdings plc18 May 2006 18 May 2006(AIM:CSH) Caspian Holdings Plc ("Caspian" or "the Company") Appointment of Non-Executive Technical Director The Board of Caspian Holdings Plc is pleased to announce the immediateappointment of Dr Andrew Robinson as Non-Executive Technical Director. Andrew George Robinson, aged 47, has a PhD in Geology and over 20 yearsexperience working in the Oil and Gas industry including 10 years at BP, JKX Oiland Gas and Ramco. For the last 5 years Dr Robinson has been a globalexploration consultant to the major international oil and gas companies,including: BP, Statoil, Shell and OMV and to the International FinanceCorporation (World Bank) Dr Robinson brings to Caspian Holdings significant experience in the Caspian andBlack Sea region. He has worked extensively in the Former Soviet Union includingwork in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia and is author of 'Regionaland Petroleum Geology of the Black Sea' (American Association of PetroleumGeologists 1998). Commenting on the appointment, Executive Chairman Michael Masterman said "We aredelighted have Dr Robinson join the Caspian board.
