AMENDMENT The following amendment has been made to the 'Director Shareholding'announcement released on 2 July 2014 at 9.35am. A correction has been made to the number of Ordinary Shares for Mr. Bottomley'sinterest in the Company following the acquisition. The full amended text is shown below. Verona Pharma plc ("Verona Pharma" or the "Company") Director Shareholding 2 July 2014, Cardiff, UK - Verona Pharma plc (AIM: VRP.L) (the "Company") hasreceived notification that on 30 June 2014, Mr Stuart Bottomley, anon-executive director of the Company, acquired via his SIPP an interest in277,273 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at aprice of 1.35 pence per share.
