NET ASSET VALUE
The Company announces that the third and final trading session of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange ("HOSE") on 22 January 2018 was suspended from 14:31 p.m. local Vietnam time due to technical issues with HOSE's trading system. Accordingly, the Company's NAV for 22 January 2018 shown below reflects the closing prices as at the immediately preceding trading session on that day.
HOSE announced that the Chairman of the Vietnamese State Securities Commission approved its closure on 23 January 2018 in order to address and solve the technical issues. Having solved the technical issue that had led to the suspension of trading HOSE decided, with the approval of the Vietnamese State Securities Commission, to remain closed for trading on 24 January 2018, in order to conduct a thorough testing of the system with brokerage firms, prior to resolving normal operations.
Accordingly, the Company does not intend to prepare a NAV for 23 and 24 January 2018.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange and the UPCOM market (the Unlisted Public Company Market) are unaffected and are processing trades as normal.
Based on the above, the Company announces that, at suspension of HOSE on 22 January 2018, its unaudited net asset value was USD1,697,168,992.80 or USD7.71 per share (Sterling equivalent at that date was GBP1,215.2 million or GBP5.52 per share).

Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange ("HOSE") announced the Trading System Incident on 22 January 2018 as follows:
On 22 January 2018, at 14:31 p.m. (local Vietnam time), the trading system of HOSE encountered an incident which has impacted the trading activity of the periodical matching session.
Incident type: Trading system could not match the placed orders during this session to determine closing prices;Impact: This incident impacted all orders placed during this session for all listed securities on HOSE except Put Through transactions.HOSE is working closely on the fix and will update at the soonest.
For today's session, in accordance with Point 1a, Article 4 Circular 203/2015/TT-BTC - Trading Guidance on Stock Market(s) and Point 1, Article 5 - Trading Regulation of HOSE issued with Decision 341/QDSGDHCM dated 22 August 2016, HOSE has announced:
Temporarily suspend this closing session dated 22 January 2018.The closing prices of 22 January 2018 are determined as the last prices of the preceding continuous matching session of the trading date.
2. URGENT Announcement later on 22 January 2018 by HOSE
Further to our announcement No. 131/SGDHCM-TV about the incident at Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange ("HOSE") on 22 January 2018, HOSE hereby announced:
Upon approval by the Chairman of State Securities Commission, HOSE will be closed on 23 January 2018 to fix the issue; HOSE has been in the process to resolve the issue and will inform market resume normal business at the soonestHOSE requests all securities companies to notify all investors until further notice.

Newsflash on the continuation of trading closure for full market testing on 24 January 2018
Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange ("HOSE") has conducted its testing and resolved the trading issues happened on 22 January 2018. Upon approval by the State Securities Commission, and in order to maintain the secure and consistent performance of the trading system, HOSE remains closed for trading on 24 January 2018 to conduct a thorough testing with all brokerage firms before it officially resumes normal operations.
