Board Changes
Following the appointment of Stuart Burnett as co-CEO in November 2021, and the improving growth prospects for the business, the Board believe it is now the right time to redress the historical imbalance in the proportion of independent non-executive directors by announcing the following boardroom changes. These are expected to take effect from the AGM in July 2022:
● Charles Wigoder will become Non-Executive Chairman
● Melvin Lawson will retire from the Board
● Julian Schild will retire from the Board
The Board is currently seeking to appoint a further independent non-executive director with relevant experience to also take on the important role as chair of the Audit Committee. This process is being led by the Nomination Committee.
Charles Wigoder, Chairman said:
"Following 23 years in a full-time leadership role at Telecom Plus I am delighted to be handing over all executive responsibilities to Andrew and Stuart as co-CEOs, whilst remaining as Chairman of a business which has been, and will remain, an important part of my life.
