SMG PLC05 March 2007 Board Appointments and 2006 Preliminary Results Date Change SMG plc ("SMG") announces today (5 March) that Jamie Mathieson and Lord WaheedAlli are to join the company's Board of Directors as Non-Executive Directors. Jamie Mathieson (52) is the Executive Chairman of Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC.He was previously a Non-Executive Director of Scottish Radio Holdings plc untilits sale to EMAP plc, and is currently a Non-Executive Director of AIM VCT2 plc. Lord Waheed Alli (42) is currently Chairman of Chorion Ltd and of AIM-listedAsos plc. He is also a Director of Olga Television Ltd. He was previouslyManaging Director of Planet 24 Productions Ltd and Managing Director of Carlton Television Productions Ltd. Following the Board changes announced last week and today, the Board hasdecided to postpone the announcement of SMG's preliminary results for 2006 to12 April in order to provide sufficient opportunity for it to review the Group's strategy and future options.
